TCL has been awarded a CES 2025 Innovation Award for its TCL 50 PRO NXTPAPER 5G smartphone, cementing its position as a leader in display technology. Recognised in the Mobile Devices category, the accolade highlights TCL’s commitment to advancing human-centric technology and enhancing user experience.

The achievement marks the second consecutive year TCL has been recognised by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). In 2024, the TCL 40 NXTPAPER smartphone also received the same honour, underscoring the company’s ability to consistently deliver innovative solutions.

Jefferson Li, General Manager of TCL’s Mobile Phone Business Unit, described the recognition as a reflection of the company’s user-focused approach.
“At TCL, we delve deep into the user journey to craft devices that truly enhance daily life. The TCL 50 PRO NXTPAPER 5G combines our pioneering NXTPAPER technology with advanced AI capabilities to offer a more comfortable, clear, and enjoyable digital experience — all at an accessible price,” he said.

The TCL 50 PRO NXTPAPER 5G debuted at the IFA 2024 trade show in September. Its standout features include TCL’s NXTPAPER technology, designed to replicate the look and feel of paper for a more natural viewing experience. The technology reduces glare and eye strain while offering adaptive screen settings that optimise brightness and adjust colour temperature throughout the day.

A dedicated NXTPAPER Key enables users to activate Max Ink Mode instantly, creating a focused reading environment that minimises eye fatigue. With its sleek basalt finish and infinite pool design, the smartphone seamlessly blends aesthetics with functionality.

The device also incorporates AI-powered functionalities developed in collaboration with Microsoft, providing tools to enhance productivity and usability. Designed for a modern digital lifestyle, it offers users the flexibility to work, create, and consume content comfortably in various settings.

The CES Innovation Awards, organised annually by the CTA, celebrate outstanding design and engineering across multiple technology categories. Products are evaluated by a panel of industry experts on criteria such as innovation, functionality, and aesthetics.

With this year’s recognition, TCL continues to push the boundaries of display and mobile technology. By integrating advanced engineering with thoughtful design, the company is driving the evolution of user-friendly devices for a global audience.
