ATR, the world’s leading manufacturer of regional aircraft, has announced a new partnership with intelligent Service Lifecycle Management provider Syncron to optimise its inventory management system. The French aircraft company, headquartered in Blagnac, has chosen Syncron’s Parts Planning platform to improve the reliability, accuracy, and efficiency of its parts forecasting, a critical component of maintaining its global operations.

ATR’s fleet, known for being both efficient and low emission, is used by more than 200 airlines in over 100 countries, servicing approximately 1,300 airports. In the face of ongoing global supply chain instability, the company required a modern, scalable solution to support its commitment to delivering high-quality service. Following a period of growth over the past year, ATR’s leadership sought to enhance its inventory management processes to maintain its reputation for reliability and sustainable innovation.

The decision to adopt Syncron’s cloud-based platform will allow ATR to optimise its inventory operations, further supporting the company’s mission to accelerate sustainable connections across its vast network. The software’s AI-driven capabilities and advanced analytics will enable ATR to forecast complex demand patterns more effectively and plan its parts supply more precisely, minimising waste, improving parts availability, and reducing the environmental impact of unnecessary orders.

Costantino Chiancarella, Head of Spares BU and Material Operations at ATR, explained the importance of the move: “Our top priority is delivering innovative, efficient, and responsible aircraft technology to our airline customers, while providing exceptional aftermarket support. By moving our operations to Syncron’s Parts Planning solution, we’ll enhance service speed and efficiency, maintain our high standards of customer satisfaction, and strengthen partnerships as we continue to grow.”

    Driving Innovation through Collaboration

The collaboration between ATR and Syncron aims to not only address immediate operational needs but also fuel ongoing innovation. As part of the partnership, Syncron is working closely with ATR to identify specific enhancements tailored to the complex demands of the aviation industry. This joint effort ensures that the system will continue to evolve in line with ATR’s long-term goals of growth and sustainability.

Roman Peisson, Head of Inventory Planning at ATR, added: “When we began our search for a new advanced planning system, our goal was to find a partner that was as invested in our growth as we are. We are excited to have found that in Syncron. Their commitment to understanding the unique challenges of our industry has reassured us that this collaboration will be a mutually beneficial, long-term partnership.”

Claudine Bianchi, Chief Marketing Officer at Syncron, praised the impact of precise parts planning on complex supply chains like aircraft manufacturing. “Our software gives ATR clarity and control over their inventory data, optimising their service organisation and supporting their growth strategy. By adopting Syncron’s Parts Planning, ATR is further aligning their operations with their mission for sustainable, continuous innovation.”

The partnership marks an important step for both ATR and Syncron, positioning the companies for success in an aviation industry undergoing rapid transformation.
