A major new conference aimed at transforming the property and facilities management sectors will take place on 2 April 2025 at Chiswick Park, London. Unlock the Future promises to bring together key figures from across the industry to explore the trends, challenges, and opportunities that will shape the sector over the next 12 to 18 months.

The one-day event will gather a host of industry pioneers, thought leaders, and professionals, all with the shared goal of driving innovation and future-proofing the property and facilities management industries. The central theme of the conference is to explore “What are the most significant trends poised to shape our industries and the economy over the next 12 to 18 months?”. Delegates will have the opportunity to engage in discussions about emerging trends, technological advancements, and the rapid economic shifts impacting the sector.

Organisers say that the conference is designed for property and facility managers, real estate professionals, and anyone interested in staying ahead of industry developments. The event will offer a combination of TED-style talks, panel discussions, and interactive roundtable sessions, allowing participants to hear from experts and collaborate on actionable solutions to the challenges facing their businesses.

The morning session will feature an impressive lineup of speakers, including Sir Stuart Lipton, developer of Chiswick Park, who will provide an insider’s perspective on the transformation of urban landscapes. Mara Cummings, Senior Vice President of Global Real Estate Planning & Development at Warner Bros. Discovery, will share insights into global real estate trends, while Professor Phil Deans, President of Richmond American University London, will offer an academic viewpoint on the future of the sector.

The morning’s discussions will set the stage for an afternoon of interactive sessions, where delegates will dive deeper into the pressing issues facing the industry. Jonathan Acott, Head of Experience at Chiswick Park – Enjoy Work, will moderate a panel discussion with the morning’s speakers, setting the stage for thought-provoking debates on how to respond to current and future challenges.

The afternoon will also feature an expert panel of industry leaders discussing strategies to address key concerns within the sector. The panel includes Catherine Lambert, Director at Savills, Andrew Hulbert, Founder of Pareto Facilities Management, Carl Foreman, Partner at Tandem, and Sabri Marsaoui, Founder of Blackstar Real Estate. This “Fireside Chat” format will encourage open dialogue and the sharing of insights based on the morning’s discussions, with audience participation to help shape the conversation.

In addition, Leesman, the world’s leading independent assessor of employee workplace experience, will present new research that will be unveiled in March 2025. Their insights into workplace environments will provide delegates with cutting-edge data to help inform decision-making within the property and facilities management sectors.

Following the day’s discussions, the event will conclude with a cocktail reception, giving delegates the chance to network with peers and industry leaders. Participants will also receive a comprehensive post-event report, summarising the key takeaways, trends, and actionable insights from the day’s discussions, providing a valuable resource for professionals looking to drive change within their organisations.

Unlock the Future is set to be a pivotal event for anyone looking to lead the way in property and facilities management, offering a unique platform for thought leadership, collaboration, and transformation in the industry.
