Following the success of the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE), the CIIE Bureau has begun a global campaign to promote the upcoming 8th Expo, scheduled for 2025. The initiative aims to further integrate global enterprises into the expanding Chinese market, showcasing opportunities for international business collaboration.
European Tour Kicks Off in Germany, Denmark, and the Netherlands
The promotional tour commenced in Europe, with Germany, Denmark, and the Netherlands serving as the first stops. These nations, which have been strong supporters of previous expos, hosted dedicated events to highlight the benefits of participation.
In Denmark, a promotional event was held at Dansk Industri, spotlighting Danish innovation in green technologies, life sciences, and food. A dual-booth setup at the 7th CIIE featured 18 prominent Danish brands, which showcased solutions in health and sustainability.
Germany’s promotional event took place at Yu Garden in Hamburg, underscoring the significant presence of German businesses at the 7th CIIE. German companies secured over 26,000 square metres of exhibition space, with leading firms like Heraeus, SCHOTT, and Merck showcasing high-quality materials and advanced technologies in the newly established new materials zone.
The campaign will continue in the Netherlands, with a working meeting scheduled in Tilburg. Dutch companies, including large enterprises like ASML and Philips as well as SMEs and startups, have historically played a key role in the expo. The Netherlands has demonstrated expertise in sectors ranging from agriculture and consumer goods to semiconductors and healthcare, with its dairy industry particularly well-represented.
The Growing Influence of the CIIE
The promotional events highlighted the substantial potential of the Chinese market for businesses from Europe. The CIIE provides a platform for enterprises to connect with one of the world’s largest consumer markets, facilitating partnerships and expanding global business networks.
The recently released Report on the Media Coverage and Influence of the 7th China International Import Expo further underlined the event’s international impact. It showcased the expo’s openness, diverse offerings, and the fruitful outcomes of its business collaborations, which were shared across multiple platforms.
CIIE has become a premier event for international trade, fostering cooperation and innovation. The Bureau’s latest efforts to promote the 8th Expo aim to attract even more participation from around the globe, building on the success of past editions.
By leveraging the strength of the partnerships forged in Germany, Denmark, and the Netherlands, the CIIE Bureau hopes to cement the expo’s role as a gateway to the Chinese market and a driver of global economic integration.
