ICFE heads back to İstanbul Expo Center, where its fourth edition will run January 6 to 9, 2027. Organisers aim to draw more than 500 exhibitors together with around 35,000 industry professionals representing upwards of 150 countries, opening fresh avenues for cross-border trade and cooperation.
Istanbul, Türkiye: The International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE) 2027 is scheduled for January 6 to 9, 2027, with the Istanbul Fair Center (İFM) as its venue. Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. is organising the fair, which has the backing of the Southeastern Anatolia Carpet Exporters Association (GAHIB) together with the İstanbul Carpet Exporters Association (IHIB).
Manufacturers, importers and wholesalers will meet chain stores, interior designers and architects in Istanbul as the event links Türkiye’s worldwide standing in carpet making with international commerce.
Bringing the world’s carpet buyers together
Exhibitors will be able to break into new markets, build export links and form partnerships worldwide, while the fair presents Türkiye’s manufacturing capacity, design know-how and advantageous geographic position to buyers from abroad.
Organisers anticipate more than 500 exhibitors at ICFE 2027, with roughly 35,000 visitors arriving from over 150 countries.
Throughout the event, exhibitors are set to forge fresh trade ties with professional buyers representing major carpet and floor coverings markets such as Germany, Italy, China, India, Belgium, the USA, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Central Asian countries.
A gateway city between two continents
Sitting at the crossroads where Europe meets Asia, and equipped with well-developed transport and logistics infrastructure, Istanbul adds to the global draw of ICFE.
Because the city is served by a wide network of direct flights, travelling to the fair is straightforward for professionals worldwide, and exhibitors gain access to many markets in one place.
Lower customs duty for overseas exhibitors

The Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye, through its Directorate General of Customs, has put in place a notable measure intended to back the exhibition and draw participants from abroad. For ICFE 2027 alone, the temporary customs duty charged under Türkiye’s customs legislation on goods that international exhibitors bring to the show, which had stood at 100% of their FOB (Free on Board) value, has been cut to 10%.
The regulation came about after wide-ranging cooperation between the relevant public authorities and representatives of the industry, and it should markedly ease the financial pressure on overseas companies that exhibit high-value products. It is further anticipated to attract participants from a larger number of countries and to boost the volume of international trade conducted at the exhibition.
Design talks and awards in the spotlight
Beyond business on the show floor, ICFE 2027 will stage a programme of events designed to foster innovation, sector development and the exchange of knowledge.
Leading figures from the industry will return to Carpet Talks, a series that drew considerable interest at earlier editions, to debate design, production, branding and the transformation of the sector.
On an international stage, the Carpet Design Awards will present innovative carpet designs and put original work in front of industry professionals. Visitors, meanwhile, will find inspiration at the Carpet Workshop, a special concept in which designers from different countries work together on production.
Where buyers and suppliers do business
At ICFE 2027, manufacturers, exporters, importers, distributors, wholesalers, chain stores, architects, interior designers, decorators and other professionals will find a trading platform for discovering fresh business prospects.
Over the course of the fair, attendees can connect with new suppliers, keep up with emerging trends in the sector, take part in B2B meetings and widen their international business networks.
Its previous edition welcomed 445 exhibitors, along with 31,410 visitors who came from 127 countries, and ICFE 2027 now seeks to reinforce its standing among the world’s foremost carpet and flooring events by widening participation and raising its international profile.
